Tom Vek's Leisure Seizure

Six years after its predecessor, We Have Sound, Tom Vek's second studio album finally dropped. Island Records (a subsidiary of Universal since 2007) released the album through Modular People in Australia, who's been kind enough to post the entire album for your streaming-previewing pleasure. After more than half a decade, Tom's bold yet nonchalant vocals reliably deliver addictingly catchy melodies the second time around.

With that in mind, the instrumentation has definitely shifted from We Have Sound  - much more varied, experimental, and dynamic. Some of the tracks' thundering percussion intro's minister an added intensity, making this a very memorable album.

Especially digging Aroused, A Chore, and We Do Nothing. Vek's outdone himself and we'll be stuck on the repeat button this summer.

Highlights from We Have Sound:

Tom Veck - A Little Word in Your Ear (very reminiscent of older Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitar work)
