Kato - Adult Disco September Mix

Enjoy this week's disco installment.

M83 - Midnight City (Trentemoller Remix)

My favorite remix on the recently released Midnight City Remix EP. Trentemoller goes to work.

Holy Ghost! collect their photos and share their personal journey with us in their latest video for Wait and See. Refreshingly intimate and sincere.

New Navy Uluwatu EP

Australian band New Navy just released their stellar EP Uluwatu (and has offered half of it for free download). Label future classic shares its high hopes for this up and coming band as they manage to "balance sparkly guitars with front man Ben McInerny's smooth vocals" all over their debut EP.

Well put. We'll be on the look out for future releases.

|VIDEO| CSS - Hits Me Like a Rock

CSS HMLAR from forrest borie on Vimeo.

I'd say Hit me Like a Rock and the slew of remixes that followed were some of the brighter highlights of my summer playlist. Brazilian duo CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy = Portuguese for "tired of being sexy") were kind enough to impart some dance knowledge onto their avid fans with this 'tutorial'. It's pretty effective. I've conquered breakdancing in three minutes flat.

|VIDEO| tUne-yArDs - Gangsta

This is another one of those "any excuse to post this is fine with me" songs. One of my favorite tracks off of tUne-yArDs' sophomore album w h o k i l l gets some Blair Witch Project visuals. Expect to meet handsome luchadores, a little street graffeet, and a few flexible friends.

It doesn't have much on the Bizness clip, but tUne-yArDs' still got some jam on their hands with this one.

Body Language's You Can was baby-making-beautiful to begin with. Star Slinger manages to add a little extra sparkle, taking it from the bedroom to the dance floor.

Goddamn.

Stream Beni's House of Beni in Entirety

This is good.

Beni's first release It's a Bubble had garnered a surprising amount of attention - going so far as to spawn a (pretty hilarious) dance. When he gave us a second sneak peek of House of Beni with Someone Just Like You, I had no idea what to expect of the album. The track has the credentials - featuring vocals from former member of The Rapture, Mattie Safer - so I had high hopes, but honestly it fell a little flat for me. Expect to hear lines from a few other singers you might recognize on the rest of the album including (but not limited to) Sam Sparro, Prince Terrance, Nomi (Jessica 6 and ex-Hercules & Love Affair), and Via Tania.

Today Modular People released the entire album for stream, and I'm stoked to say there are plenty of jams. His debut album is available for purchase this Friday, September 23rd. Beni's currently on a two month party tour as he plows through the Australian outback. Why am I here?

Atlas Sound - Te Amo

Deerhunter's frontman, Bradford Cox is working on a new album Parralax under the guise Atlas Sound. His sleepy voice and twinkle-tot percussion leave me floating some where between cloud nine and a layer of cosmic dust. The album is set to drop November 8, 2011.

Swimming - Neutron Wireless Crystal (Trenchurian Remix)

Wow this is probably my favorite song of the week. Hailing from the hills of Nottingham, UK band Swimming is releasing their second single Neutron Wireless Crystal on October 17th. Until then, they're offering this free download of a remix done by Trenchurian. Blissfully dreamy.

DJ Mehdi Tribute

Ed Banger's DJ Mehdi sadly passed away this week while attending Carte Blanche collaborator, Riton's, birthday party. His memory and contribution to music will certainly live on.

Statement from France's Minister of Culture Frédéric Mitterrand:

"DJ Mehdi was one of the most dynamic and inspired artistes of the young hip-hop and electro French scene...a virtuoso of mixing completely different musical genres, Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, this artist of Tunisian decent, born in rap, always warm and discrete, knew how to resound French styled electronic music across the world."

|VIDEO| Neon Indian - Polish Girl

Reviews of Neon Indian's (Alan Palomo) long awaited Era Extrana have saturated the blogosphere - and the release of Polish Girl's video perfectly capitalizes on the hype. Grab the album if you haven't already (also available to stream in full on NPR) and check them out on Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night.

Directed by Tim Nackashi.

Justice - Helix

Now this I can get into.

Justice
is back up to bat, and they've hit this electro funk jam out the park.

A three minute acid trip for your Tuesday morning. The new Garden EP will include remixes from Soul Clap, Hackman, Joe Goddard, and MYNC - set to his stores in a few weeks.

|VIDEO| Lana Del Rey - Blue Jeans

Lana Del Rey is effortlessly deep and sultry. Clips of pop culture nostalgia, overstuffed botox lips, and American Apparel sweaters. I can dig it.

The day this siren sent me crashing into rocks:

|VIDEO| SBTRKT - Pharaohs (feat. Roses)

Any excuse to repost this song is fine with me. SBTRKT just released this new video for his summer gem Pharaohs. If you want me to be perfectly honest, the video is a little boring for my taste, but it's all good.

|VIDEO| Beirut - Santa Fe

The song and video are an ode to singer, Zach Condon's, hometown. This is one of my most beloved jams off of The Rip Tide (in my opinion one of the best LP's of the year). Directed by Sunset Television, the half-serious clip reminds us of the difficulties of moving on after losing a loved one. If you don't have the balls to set yourself on fire, apparently a baptism can help.

Louis La Roche - The Wall (Shook Remix)

Shook's bio credits a pair of extraterrestrial, red sunglasses for his magical production powers - after putting them on, his life was never quite the same. Enjoy this comic book hero's work on Louis La Roche's The Wall.

|VIDEO| Toro y Moi - I Can Get Love

Toro y Moi - I Can Get Love from young foodstamps gihad on Vimeo.

We've been witnessing an interesting phenomena where unofficial fan-made videos sometimes become so popular, fans (sometimes even the artist) acknowledge them as 'official' (ie: The Weeknd's What You Need). Such is the case with young foodstamps visual interpretation of Toro y Moi's I Can Get Love. These dancing gemini twins will be included on the Freaking Out EP due out September 13 through Carpark.

Justice - AUDIO, VIDEO, DISCO. by justice

Hot topic around the water cooler this week is Justice's long awaited new track Audio, Video, Disco. Their LP Cross is set to drop October 24th. Though I find it mildly underwhelming, it's a solid jam.

|VIDEO| Astro - Ciervos

I need more friends like these.

It's songs like this that I patiently wait for, and godamnit Astro hit the nail on the head with Ciervos. I'm assuming this is an homage to Bambi's trial's and tribulations.

Let's all take a moment.
