|Album Stream| Body Language - Social Studies

The most underrated artist of 2011 goes to Body Language.

I love everything about this album - Body Language manages to infuse sex and funk into every track off of their latest album Social Studies.

I was a little confused at first, too. "I thought they...already released Social Studies...?" Their four song EP this February didn't receive as much attention as it should have, though tracks like You Can and Social Studies circulated the internet like a viral epidemic (and rightly so.) Thus, they decided to add four more songs and re-release it as an LP this October. Doing an NPR stream was definitely a smart way to go the second time around.

Body Language's You Can was baby-making-beautiful to begin with. Star Slinger manages to add a little extra sparkle, taking it from the bedroom to the dance floor.

Plastic Plates has caught our attention with earlier remixes from the year on artists such as Adele, Sia, Body Language, and The Human League. His work on Chasing Colours stays consistent with the quality of his previous remixes and we look forward to seeing more from him soon.
