|VIDEO| Beirut - Santa Fe

The song and video are an ode to singer, Zach Condon's, hometown. This is one of my most beloved jams off of The Rip Tide (in my opinion one of the best LP's of the year). Directed by Sunset Television, the half-serious clip reminds us of the difficulties of moving on after losing a loved one. If you don't have the balls to set yourself on fire, apparently a baptism can help.

Beirut's The Rip Tide Full Stream Through NPR

In my opinion - Beirut's best work. This album is stunning, so let the French horns take you someplace else today.

NPR articulates my feelings on this album perfectly:

"The Rip Tide benefits from a sense of restraint, never veering into self-indulgence or over instrumentation."
